I keep coming back to this moment, this screen shot of them. People always say a picture is worth a thousand words, and they couldn’t be more right. When Carrie Ann told them that every one of their moves tells a story, she wasn’t lying. This picture just sums up the whole season for Val and Zendaya. At the beginning of the season, yes Zendaya has always been confident but she said it herself, she’s never been in love. She’s didn’t know what it felt like for someone, who wasn’t her family or close friend, to show her affection whether physically or emotionally in the way Val did. But here you can tell how much she opened up to it and embraced it. She used to shy away from Val’s attention but not anymore! Yes she has grown in the past 3 months! And Val has taught her so much…in dance and in life. And For Val, you could tell that he was finally okay with showing his affection/adoration for Zendaya. I think he’d been hesitant to do so the whole season but it didn’t matter to him what the critics or haters thought. He was proud of her, he respects her, and he values her. A simple kiss on the hand conveyed all that. The innocence of that, is what draws me them I think. This is real. It’s not for show. They not only have mutual respect and admiration for each other but there is true love in there. And while it might not be a romantic kind of love (though we can always dream!) It is a kind love we all wish to have in our lives.
Ok I’m done but I could literally talk about this forever. ValDaya forever!
